Our comprehensive curriculum

Discover how Idea American School empowers students to thrive globally through an innovative blend of curricula and international best practices.

Our Curriculum Philosophy

Idea American School delivers a world-class blended curriculum built on four key pillars: the British Curriculum, the Nigerian Curriculum (NERDC), the American & Montessori Curriculum, and International Best Practices including STEAM, digital literacy, and global citizenship. We align with global education systems to ensure students can compete internationally and transition smoothly to schools abroad.

Early Care & Development (Crèche)

Our Crèche program begins at 3 months old and provides a warm, nurturing environment focused on early sensory stimulation, motor development, emotional bonding, and gentle routines. Babies engage in age‑appropriate play, music, movement, and early language exposure. Yoruba and French are introduced through songs and simple interactions to build early multilingual awareness.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Our EYFS curriculum blends the American Early Childhood Standards, Montessori Method, Nigerian Early Years Framework, and International Best Practices. We provide a warm, hands‑on, play‑based learning environment focused on early literacy and numeracy, sensory exploration, social‑emotional development, creativity, and practical life skills.
